Messier 78 in Orion

Messier 78 (NGC 2068) is a reflection nebula found 1,600 light years away in the constellation of Orion. It was discovered by Pierre Méchain in early 1780.

M 78 was photographed between 1 January and 24 February 2020 from an imaging rig in Spain that is privately owned and operated by Barry Wilson and me.
